You've just arrived on an RP server, and you don't know where to start? Don't panic! Here's everything you need to know to play correctly, respect the rules, and fully enjoy the Atlantic RP experience.
1. ⚙️ What is RP?
RP (RolePlay) comes from "Role Play" = playing a role. In Atlantic RP, you embody a fictional character in a virtual city. You live their life, you talk, you react, and you make decisions as if you were really them.
- ✅ You do not play yourself
- ❌ You never say "I'll be right back, I have bugs" or "I'm crashing IRL" in-game
2. 👤 Creating your character
Before playing, imagine a story for your character:
- His name, surname
- His age
- His past (poor, rich, former military, reformed thief, etc.)
- His personality (calm, nervous, talkative, discreet…)
Important: no unrealistic nicknames. Use a realistic first and last name.
3. 🧠 Basic rules to follow

4. 💬 How to talk in RP?
In-game, everything you say is experienced by your character.
- /me → Character action: /me looks around
- /do → Description: /do A strong smell of cannabis
- /twt → Post an RP tweet
- /911 → Call the police
- /ems → Call for help
❗ Never speak OOC in voice. Use /ooc if needed.
